About us

The hortie foundation is a trust, non-profit making organization, established and incorporated under the trustees incorporation ordinance, CAP 375. We aim to support children living challenging lives due to HIV/AIDS. The foundation was established by Horte Mbalahami in 2016, a young lady, an orphan herself, who passionately believes in giving vulnerable children a chance to prosper in their lives. the foundation intends to meet the needs and protect the interest and rights of children, especially orphans.

Our Mission
The organization work focuses on abandoned, destitute and orphaned children who required family based child care. as we know many children are living without their biological families for a variety of reasons including:

• parental separation
• domestic violence and neglect
• diseases including AIDS

Consequently, such children need dedicated support to help them recover from emotional trauma, isolation, portable abuse and exploitation and deprivation of fundamental rights. Hortie foundation strives to meet the needs of children, especially those who are homeless and provide them with various things like school uniforms, exercise books, pencils, pens and promote emotional nurturing and support through education, children's play grounds and sports.
we are dedicated to supporting the children particularly in early years hope that will ultimately move these challenged children from ''desperation to prosperity''.
